BASKET MAKING USING NATURAL MATERIALS WITH MAVIS MULLER

Weaving baskets from plant materials is a magical process. Led by Homer’s own award-winning, internationally known basket artist and story weaver, Mavis Muller. Mavis will instruct & collaborate with each student to create a unique, one-of-a-kind woven vessel using locally gathered natural materials such as: alder, wild grass, and nettle.
Materials are provided. Mavis will share unique natural embellishments from her personal collection.
This workshop is outdoors and designed for adults, older teens are welcome too! Please come prepared for any weather and remember to print the waiver/release form and bring a completed copy to the workshop (we will have additional copies available on the day of the event).
