Mushroom Identification and Sketching for Kids

Award-winning naturalist, artist, teacher and wilderness guide, Kim McNett teaches nature journaling and visual art in this workshop which integrates the science of mushroom identification with journaling and sketching through personal experience and the enduring process of discovery.

This workshop is outdoors and designed for children. Parents are welcome to attend and help supervise but will not be provided with journaling materials. Please meet in the museum’s rear parking lot.

Workshops include a blank journal and use of all needed supplies at no extra cost. For additional supplies and activity prompts, Kim’s handmade Nature Journal Kits will be available for purchase at the workshop for $40.
