RETHINKING WEEDS – ANTHROPOLOGY MEETS GARDENING WITH YARROW HINNANT
$30 per person/$25 per Pratt Museum member // Saturday, June 15, 1-3pm
Weeds abound in even the most diligently managed garden space, but where do these intruders come from? Why do they thrive where we wish they wouldn’t? How can we learn to live with, or without them? Join us in exploring the cultural history of weeds, as we approach a new way to frame the way we encounter these plants. Additionally, gain insights into management strategies that are used in the Pratt Museum Botanical Garden and the home gardens of our Botanical Garden staff.
This workshop is outdoors and designed for adults, teens are welcome too! Please come prepared for any weather. Please remember to print the waiver/release form and bring a completed copy to the workshop (we will have additional copies available on the day of the event).
Online registration is required for this event.
